Created in collaboration with VE brand ambassador, an extreme moto adventurer Karolis Mieliauskas. Tested by Karolis himself during a demanding 2500 km off-road motorcycle expedition "Route of Tuaregs" across dusty, high-temperature terrain of the Sahara Desert, it has proven its ability to endure heat, dust, and the unforgiving conditions of one of the most extreme environments on Earth.
The watch features a slim and sleek bi-directional rotating bezel with compass markings. Inspired by the navigation methods of the Tuareg people, the watch allows the owner to orient themselves in the desert using the sun by using the bezel scale and hands. A guide on how to use the watch as a compass is engraved on the caseback, underlining its role as a true explorer’s tool.
The design palette reflects the Sahara itself: the warm, sandy hues of the desert landscape are contrasted with deep black accents that pay homage to the traditional clothing of the Tuaregs. The sandblasted and brushed finishing of the case recalls surfaces shaped by wind and sand. At the same time, the robust construction ensures 20 BAR dust- and water-resistance, protecting against desert storms, heat, and extreme conditions.
Two straps are provided in each pack: a black silicone strap is perfect for comfort, resistance, and active use in extreme conditions, while a textile strap offers a connection to traditional materials and a rugged aesthetic that complements the desert-inspired design. This combination allows wearers to adapt their watch for both functional expeditions and everyday wear.
As a special model of the Expedition collection, this watch celebrates adventure, survival, and exploration. The “Route of Tuaregs” edition not only honors the resilience of travelers through the desert but also serves as a modern companion for everyday use. This timepiece, being tested in extremes, is a statement of endurance, the need for exploration, and navigation skills.
