Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Glaze — Salty Ocean
Add clear blue colour to coastal motifs, watery scenes and summer card designs with Salty Ocean Distress Embossing Glaze. This bright blue powder melts under a craft heat tool to form a translucent, raised glazed finish.
Colour with detail underneath
The translucent glaze lets the underlying image or pattern remain visible through the colour. Use it over dry stamped detail, on die-cut shapes or through a stencil to build coloured dimension in cards, tags and mixed media.
How to heat emboss
Apply Distress Embossing Ink with a pad, dabber or pen. Sprinkle the powder over the wet ink, tap off the excess and heat until the glaze melts. Allow it to cool before handling. Embossing ink and a suitable craft heat tool are required separately.
An idea for Salty Ocean
Try a blue glazed section over a dry stamped water scene, keeping surrounding areas unglazed for a contrast in surface finish.

Using your craft supplies
Keep the jar closed between uses and return clean, unused excess powder to it. Test the colour over your chosen background first, as the translucent finish is affected by the surface beneath. Follow your heat tool’s instructions.
