FLAG Roofix Matt Protective Roof Coating — 5L
Give suitable roof surfaces a flexible layer of weather protection with Roofix Matt Protective Coating. This high-build coating from FLAG is reinforced with Draylon fibres to improve strength, flexibility and crack-bridging performance, forming a protective membrane rather than simply adding colour.
Supplied in a 5-litre tin, it is designed for roof maintenance and refurbishment on compatible felt, asphalt, concrete and metal surfaces. Choose White, Black, Grey or Solar Reflective Grey from the colour options.
Fibre-reinforced, flexible protection
The fibres are incorporated into the coating to support a tough, flexible finish. Roofix is designed to bridge small cracks and help protect against water ingress, making it useful for treating suitable problem areas or coating a larger roof surface. The underlying roof must still be sound; a coating is not a replacement for necessary structural repairs.
Plan your coverage
Allow approximately 1 litre per square metre, giving a theoretical coverage of around 5m² from this 5-litre tin. Actual coverage depends on the surface texture, porosity and application thickness. Roofix is designed for one-coat application, although highly porous surfaces may need additional treatment.
Preparation and application
Check compatibility with the existing roof covering before starting. Prepare a firm, stable, clean and dry surface, free from loose material, grease and contamination. Stir thoroughly and apply by brush, following the instructions supplied with the tin for the required coating thickness and conditions.
Allow approximately 16 hours to become touch dry, depending on conditions. Touch dry does not mean fully cured: follow the product instructions for curing and any subsequent coats. This coating is not suitable for rubber EPDM, fresh bitumen or fresh tar.
