Cadence Vintage Legend Antique Gesso — Dark Slate Grey 150ml
Build an aged, uneven painted surface with Cadence Vintage Legend Dark Slate Grey VL-10. This 150ml water-based effect paint has a heavy, gesso-like consistency with particles of different sizes, creating texture as well as colour.
Dark Slate Grey in a distressed finish
Dark Slate Grey creates a deeper layer in vintage-style paintwork. Use a light final coat and selective distressing to reveal the darker texture underneath.
Layer, dry and reveal the texture
Cadence recommends an acrylic base coat, followed by Vintage Legend, with Very Chalky suggested for the final colour layer. Allow at least 12 hours before vigorous scraping or distressing. The finished effect depends on the base colour, layer thickness and areas you reveal.
Finish for your decorative project
Work on a clean, dry surface and follow the appropriate preparation for the material. Cadence recommends Hybrid as a base on glass or metal, alongside its surface-specific primer guidance. A compatible wax or velvet-matt varnish can finish the dry paintwork.
