Cadence Universal Crackle Primer — 150ml
Prepare smooth surfaces for a crackle finish with Cadence Universal Crackle Primer 150ml. This supporting primer is designed for Cadence crackling systems, helping crackle paste adhere where materials such as glass or metal can be more difficult to decorate.
Prime before applying the crackle product
Brush on a thin, even coat and leave it to air dry. Cadence specifies waiting until the primer has become completely transparent before adding the crackle paste.
Build the crackle as a separate layer
Apply your chosen compatible crackle paste or system over the prepared surface, following its own instructions. The primer prepares the base; the separate crackle product creates the visible pattern.
Make a sample of the full finish
Base colour, primer, crackle product and layer thickness all affect the result. Test the complete sequence on a small area before decorating a large piece.
