Cadence Rusty Patina Paint – Brown 150ml

Brown for an aged surface

Brown creates an earthy, aged-metal colour effect on frames, decorated boxes and mixed-media panels. This is a decorative painted effect; the depth of colour changes with the amount applied.

Vary the layers to build the effect

Stir well and apply without thinning, using a brush or sponge. Cadence notes that thicker areas appear darker. Build irregular patches and combine compatible colours when you want variation rather than a uniform coating.

Keep the intended matt finish

The manufacturer specifies indoor decorative use and advises against varnishing Rusty Patina. Allow approximately 3–6 hours to dry, depending on conditions, and follow the recommended primer guidance for glossy ceramic, plastic or metal.

Application and care

Start with a clean, dry, grease-free surface. Test the effect on a sample first, keep the lid sealed between uses and wash tools with soap and water before the paint dries.
